Let’s talk fundraising! I know, I know, I know - be more of a PTA stereotype why don’t you. But everything we do for the kiddos costs money, so as a PTA, we will often ask for your participation in our fundraising efforts. Last year, we topped our $138,000 Fundraising Goal by almost $20,000!! Our primary fundraiser, Koalathon, raised just over $101,000, which - in tandem with the other campaigns - allowed us to enact about $102,000 worth of ADDED enhancement, enrichment, & programming to the Delevan student experience. The budget & fundraising goals for 2025-2026 have been created to keep this level of enhancement, but also to cover the expected, yearly funding gap between Delevan’s LAUSD Allocation & what the school wants to provide for the students. That gap for the 2024-2025 school year was $52,981 & included the Spanish & PE teachers, as well as learning software & teaching tools.
We anticipate a funding gap of about $55,000 that Delevan will ask us to cover in this fundraising year, making our fundraising goal this school year $152,000, $132,000 of that being parent/caregiver investment, which is $264 per student at 500 students. Our fundraising efforts begin in the Fall for a calendar year of expenses, so this school year’s fundraising efforts are for our expenses for Jan 2026 - Dec 2026. We’ve created a breakdown of our 2024-2025 majority spending, so you can see how we spent your contributions last year. Our yearly operating budget is based off of each previous years’ spending, so this chart is also a good indication of our spending intentions for the current school year. WE PUT THE “FUN” IN FUNDRAISING!
Koalathon
Every year, our Delevan community comes together for the most epic online crowdfunding campaign and our largest annual fundraiser, KOALATHON! This event runs over the course of 3 weeks, keeping up the momentum with milestone prizes & ongoing rally events. Students will have a personalized webpage & there will be incentives for everyone as we meet specific goals! Who doesn’t love popsicle parties & extra recess, am I right??
In the past 2 years, we have met (& exceeded) our overall goals & earned school visits from a Space Scientist & an Olympian!
Last year, our theme was “Koalaympics” & each classroom created a flag celebrating an IB tenet!

Dine Outs
The PTA hosts monthly Dine-Outs at various local restaurants in our broader community. These soft fundraiser events are a great way to connect with other Delevan families & raise funds for our school programs. When Dine Outs are scheduled, we will add them to the PTA Calendar, drop the details on our socials, send info out through room parents, & post on Class Dojo.

FUND PHOTO FUNDRAISER
In 2024-2025, we partnered with Fund Photo for a fundraiser to offer low cost family photos to our community. Our Delevan Photo Day at Mayor’s Bicentennial Park SOLD OUT so fast - it was incredible to see the support! The photos turned out wonderful & we can’t wait to offer this to families again this year!
DELEVAN DODGERS DAY
In May 2025, for the very first time ever, Delevan Drive PTA brought 350 Delevan Dodger fans together for a day of baseball, ice cream, Dodger dogs, sunshine, and *almost* summer fun! It was incredible & the turnout was awesome! We look forward to having this event again in the Spring of 2026!
